The population of Cummins Engines in Bangladesh almost 3000 and these engines range from 30 HP to 2500 HP in applications of Generating sets, Marine, and Industrial. Cummins is the largest manufacturer of diesel engines in the world today, and one of the most reliable brand name in Bangladesh. As a representative for Cummins Inc. USA for the past 19 years, MIR Trading CO. has invested significantly on after sales services which include trained professionals, workshop in Ashulia, Dhaka, field service vehicles and spare parts division. A specially designed building of approximately 9,000 square feet houses the Service Workshop and Parts Store which under construction and will be ready by the end of February 2006. The executive branch is located at Dhanmondi R/A. |

Repair & Maintenance |

The Service Workshop is equipped with the latest in diesel engine repair tooling to service all models of Cummins Diesel Engines. These include special tooling for the overhaul of Cummins Diesel Engines. Our Technical Staff have undergone factory training and are capable of carrying out all types of repairs including engine overhauls and maintenance to Cummins Diesel Engines and generating sets. |

Field Service |

Our Service Engineers & Technicians are provided with Field Service vehicles, which are equipped with maintenance tools to carry out repairs on site. Senior Engineers are also contactable on mobile telephones. Emergency assistance is available at all times through a contact number from the workshop and office. |

Spare Parts |

MIR Trading is the only company who stocks genuine Cummins Spare Parts in Bangladesh. We have approximately 80% availability of fast moving spare parts in Bangladesh. The Cummins Singapore parts distribution centre has 98% availability of vital and fast moving spares off the shelf. Any emergency spares that are not available ex-stock can be Air freighted from Singapore within 3 working days. |

Diesel Engine Filters |
|
MIR Trading is the sole distributors in Bangladesh for Fleetguard Inc. U.S.A who manufactures a range of Diesel Engine Filters inclusive of Lube Oil, Fuel & Air Filter elements. Fleetguard also manufacture the coolant resistor, which is unique to the Cummins Engine. A coolant additive is introduced to the cooling system through the Coolant Filter and this chemical component prevents corrosion from forming in major components such as cylinder liners and cylinder blocks thus resulting in longer life of Diesel Engines. All Filters are available exstock in Bangladesh. |

Regional Technical Support |

The Cummins Regional Office in Singapore is equipped with the latest in training facilities. This training centre carries out technical training to distributor staff and customers. The regional office staff includes a Regional Service Manager and experts in the field of power generation, marine & other applications. The Regional Service Manager visits Sri Lanka often & carries out training of local service staff. His technical support is also available when called for. |

Main Alternator |
|
Cummins generating sets are fitted with a Stamford Alternators manufactured by Newage Stamford of United Kingdom. Newage Alternators is a fully owned subsidiary of Cummins Inc. This Alternator is built for specific region. The main alternator & exciter insulation systems are impregnated for severe environments where sand, salt, sea spray, and chemical corrosion are installation factors. 125 degrees C temperature rise and Class H insulation system is also provided as standard. |

The Cummins generating set is factory built at one single source, Cummins Power Generation Group. Cummins manufactures all items, so the warranty will come from one source, Cummins Power Generation. MIR Trading CO is the only authorized organization in Bangladesh to carry out warranty repairs on all Cummins Diesel Generating sets and engines supplied here. |
